Twelve years ago, EMSOW became a pivotal part for EDS, a mobile diagnostic imaging company operating on the East Coast. EDS had a bold vision: to provide superior diagnostic care, with faster and more accurate results, and to dominate the East Coast’s diagnostic testing market. By investing in advanced technologies like the PACS system, EDS leaped ahead, distinguishing itself from competitors still using outdated thermal printers for ultrasound images.
Leveraging extensive healthcare experience, EMSOW — Electronic Management System of Operations Workflow — was designed to streamline daily office routines. It covers everything from data entry and document management to billing and equipment tracking. With 27 mobile units and 30 techs on the road daily, EMSOW’s robust logistics have transformed EDS operations. “We’ve reduced processing times significantly, offering same-day results that improve patient care. This efficiency has allowed us to expand from 1,500 to 4,300 tests per month without increasing staff.” once said the CFO of the company. EMSOW’s success is a testament to its universal application, now benefiting mobile radiology groups nationwide.
